Friday, November 20, 2009 1. Today’s band lessons are: 7th grade alto sax, trombone, trumpets, and 8th grade tuba and baritone. Students should follow times for cycle #2. 2. Mr. Stovers Friday lessons will be all tubas at 1:07 p.m. and all baritones at 1:29 p.m. 3. Please check the lost & found on the table down by the office. Anything left on the table will be sent to Trinkets & Togs today after school. 4. There will be reading classes in the media center periods 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, & 8. 5. Reminders for your planners: Today: Orchestra students will be in SSR. There are no orchestra lessons or rehearsal as Mrs. O’Neill is gone. Monday: The orchestra is performing during 8th grade SSR. We invite you and your SSR to come experience the music we’ll be performing at Monday evening’s concert. Monday 7PM: Orchestra concert featuring the 5-8 Orchestras including a JH full orchestra piece. We have cookies! 6. Get your media center overdues and fines taken care of before Thanksgiving break. We will soon start issuing detentions for those who have been on there for several weeks. 7. LCA- We will meet today during lunch. Bring your lunch up right away. 8. Next Tuesday will be Mix-it-Up Day. The purpose of this nationwide event is to get kids to sit with different peers at lunch and break down some of those “walls”. Everyone is encouraged to wear mismatched clothes. (e.g. Ugly combinations, shoes that don’t go together, Hawkeye with Cyclone, young and old, formal with informal, etc.). 9. Today is a B day
