Congratulations to Austin Cole – W-SR’s New 7–12 Activities Director!
Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District is excited to announce that Austin Cole has been selected as the district’s 7–12 Activities Director following a comprehensive search process that drew more than 30 applicants.
The selection process included input from board members, parents, coaches, activity sponsors, and district administrators, as well as the expertise of Iowa Athletic Directors Association Hall of Fame member Jim Boehmer.
Austin has served as Interim Activities Director since January and has been part of the W-SR High School staff since 2018. Throughout the process, he stood out for his leadership, character, and deep commitment to supporting student-athletes, coaches, and activities programs.
We’re grateful for the leadership Austin has already shown and excited for the future of Go-Hawk activities under his guidance.
