Gold Standard

This year at W-SR High School, we are proud to introduce something new that ties directly to our tradition and community pride: the Go-Hawk Gold Standard.

Our story goes back to the 1930s, when W-SR became the only school in the nation to carry the Go-Hawk name. Over the years, the Go-Hawk has come to represent who we are—a school and a community with a unique identity, built on a strong tradition of excellence. The color gold has always symbolized rarity and strength, and now it also represents the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

The Gold Standard is built on three simple, powerful expectations:
• Be Your Best – Strive for growth, effort, and excellence in everything you do
• Be Reliable – Show up for yourself and others with honesty, consistency, and accountability
• Be Invested – Commit your time, energy, and heart to your learning, your activities, and your community

The Go-Hawk Gold Standard is more than a slogan. It is a reflection of who we are and who we aspire to be. Together, as students, staff, families, and community members, we will continue to honor our history while building a future defined by pride, unity, and achievement.

Go-Hawks!
