The kids laughed, slid, and had snow much fun together!

Nurse Ashley came around to classrooms and shared with us a demonstration about germs. Students volunteered to participate in a germ activity by rubbing their hands with a special "germ" solution reactive to black light. After a few minutes, she went around the room exposing the glowing "germs" and explained how easily germs are transferred by contact with daily things like desks, computers and doorways. Students then practiced the prescribed hand washing routine and again using the black light, were able to see any "germs" they missed in the process. This was a great hands-on activity that was fun and educational. Thanks, Nurse Ashley!
The kids had snow much fun out on the hill today!

🎃 Amazing Creativity on Display! 🎃
Our students had a BLAST decorating pumpkins for Halloween week! Each classroom showcased their unique designs in the lunchroom, and the creativity was absolutely incredible! 🧡
Thank you to all our talented students and staff for making this Halloween tradition so special! 🍂✨

Mr. Luebbers and Ms. Schmidt's classrooms created fun memories today during a buddy room Halloween party. The event began with a special reservation of Ghost Tag with Mrs. Williams in the gymnasium. Then everyone returned to the room for some monster coloring and special treats. Spending time together each month is a great way to build social skills and role model positive behaviors to friends.
🍂 LIED CENTER THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE 🍂
We're excited to partner with families to make a difference this holiday season!
When: October 21 - November 12, 2025
Where: Bring donations to the Lied Education Center
Who it helps: North East Iowa Food Bank of the Cedar Valley
📊 Why This Matters:
The Food Bank aims to serve 4,000 families this Thanksgiving. Right now, more than half of families in our community face food insecurity, and over 100 families rely on the pantry each week.
Your generosity will provide nutritious meals and hope to neighbors in need. Let's come together as a school community and help reach this important goal!
Every donation counts! 💛
